Kaizen Teaching School Alliance to launch Education MA with University of Brighton
Kaizen Teaching School Alliance has partnered with education specialists University of Brighton to launch a pilot cohort of a unique new Master’s degree in Education.
The Education MA has been designed in partnership with the Alliance’s Research and Development strand as an ideal springboard for education practitioners who want to develop their teaching expertise.
Launching in October 2017, the 2-year MA will give students access to regular interaction from Kaizen’s expert teams and the resources and expertise of a well-known local University. Students will have the opportunity to be involved in school-based projects. The students will develop a more evidence-informed, high quality teaching practice, which in turn will benefit the young people they teach
Adrian Pitts, says, “In developing this pilot Education MA programme, we have drawn from research into factors affecting teacher development, recruitment and retention. Importantly, we have also built on engagement with our Alliance members and with the wider profession through our HE and wider partners to understand their perspectives and their professional development priorities.”
“It’s hard to imagine a stronger combination: Kaizen’s proven track record in education, our Alliance schools’ outstanding teaching credentials, united with Brighton’s immensely powerful brand, and huge experience. It’s a fantastically exciting model.”
